Getting to the Tournament

Public Parking

Public parking is available at the car park on the eastern land of Royal Queensland Golf Club, entering off Curtin Avenue East. Spectators can then walk directly into the venue from the car park through the main entrance.

Parking for all patrons is free of charge for the duration of the tournament.

Northshore Ferry Terminal Hamilton

A free shuttle bus will run from the Northshore Ferry Terminal Hamilton (bus stop located on MacArthur Ave) commencing at 5.30am each day and concluding at 6.00pm. For details on how to get to Royal Queensland Golf Club, visit www.translink.com.au

Travel time approx. 6 minutes.

Bowen Hills Train Station

A free shuttle will run from Bowen Hills Train Station (bus stop located on Abbotsford Rd) to the event, commencing at 5.30am each day and concluding at 6.00pm. For details on how to get to Royal Queensland Golf Club, visit www.translink.com.au

Travel time approx. 15 minutes.

Ride share

Ride share drop off zone is at the public car park with access via Curtin Avenue East and Fison Avenue West.

Access to the Course

All patrons must enter the course at the main event entry which is located on Curtin Avenue East. Course access is available to patrons with general admission tickets, official accreditation or hospitality passes.

There will be no general admittance access via Curtin Avenue West.

Patrons are to stay outside the ropes and follow the marshal’s instructions when crossing the fairways at the designated crossing points. Pass outs are not available at this event.

Gate Opening and Closing Times

Gate times are related to the tournament draw and tee times, which are confirmed closer to the event. Indicative times are as follows.

Thursday and Friday: gates open at 5.30am and close one hour after play concludes at approximately 7.00pm

Saturday and Sunday: gates open at approximately 5.30am and close at approximately 6.00pm**

Gates will be open to the public free of charge from 3.00pm each day.

**Weekend times are subject to change pending tee times.

Public Catering

There are numerous food and beverage outlets on course, including in the Champions Village located on the 17th hole and at the Clubhouse / 18th Hole precinct, 8th hole and 10th tee.

Beverage partners including CBCo, First Creek Wines, Southern Comfort and Coca-Cola will be served with a range of food trucks available.

Please note that the event is a cashless event, and no ATM’s will be located on site.

Grandstands and Seating

Public grandstands will be located adjacent to the 18th green, 1st tee and public viewing deck on the 17th hole in the Bunker. There are numerous other seating options available in the Clubhouse Village, Champions Village and at the Bunker located on the 17th hole in view of the super screens and live broadcast.

Event Merchandise

Official Fortinet Australian PGA Championship Merchandise, supplied by Adidas can be purchased in the Official Merchandise store located at the main entrance gate A. There will also be merchandise located in the pro shop, next to the Royal Queensland clubhouse.

Please note that the event is a cashless event, and no ATM’s will be located on site.

Sustainability Commitment

The PGA of Australia and our partners, including Coca-Cola and Adidas, are committed to minimizing landfill waste and promoting recycling. The Fortinet Australian PGA Championship is committed to the Sports for Climate Action Declaration.

All bins have the option of a recycle bin, and there are numerous key recycling points on course and in the village areas.

Please ensure you discard waste in the correct bins and help recycle.

General Information

Electronic super screens

Electronic super screens are located at the main entrance and 18th green, Clubhouse Village, TaylorMade Party hole and Champions Village on the 17th Hole to ensure all spectators are up to date on play. The screens will display the tournament channel feed comprising of broadcast, live scoring and sponsor branding.

First Aid

First Aid is available all week adjacent to the first tee and Royal Queensland pro-shop. Please take note of the Assist First Aid location on the map and when you are near the first tee.

Daily draw sheets and maps

Daily draw sheets and course maps will be available upon entry to the course, at the merchandise marquee.

Cashless event

The event is a cashless event, and as such there is no ATM on site.

Mobile phone policy

Mobile phones may be used, however they must remain on SILENT at all times, and have the FLASH OFF. Mobile phone photography is permitted on all tournament competition days, and video on non-competition days only. Please be considerate of tournament play and other spectators at all times.

Digital cameras

Professional Cameras and Video Cameras are strictly prohibited at the event. Only official media and accredited officials can take photographs or footage using professional camera. Mobile phones and small digital cameras may be used, providing they are on silent.

Evacuation policy

A golf tournament can continue play in raining conditions. If weather is potentially dangerous to players and spectators, then a siren will sound and play will be suspended. If the siren sounds, patrons are advised to seek shelter immediately and avoid the following: Open areas, hill tops and high places, isolated trees, golf carts grandstands, telephone poles, metal or wire fences, metal stakes and TV towers.

If an evacuation is required, spectators will be directed to the nearest departure gates.

Prohibited items

  • Push or motorized Bikes and Scooters
  • No video or audio equipment, PDA's, radios, televisions
  • No alcoholic beverages or glass bottles may be brought onto or taken from the grounds of the Tournament.
  • Large eskies/coolers, glass or aluminum bottles, Stanley type mugs, large thermo mugs or thermoses. (Only sealed plastic bottles (non-alcoholic) or empty drinking vessels may be brought into the grounds, max capacity of 600mls)
  • Crates, milk crates, stepladders or raised platforms
  • Signs, banners, Visible obscene, indecent, or inappropriate clothing
  • Propaganda material of a racist or xenophobic nature or constituting an incitement to violence. This also applies to the wearing of clothing or insignia of a racist or xenophobic nature or constituting an incitement to violence.
  • Sirens, Horns, or musical instruments.
  • Firearms, explosive devices, knives or cooking/picnic utensils
  • Alcohol and Illegal drugs or substances
  • Animals (except service animals to aid guests with disabilities)
  • Any political or religious elements whatsoever, such as banners, boards, symbols or fliers
  • Projectiles (e.g., Frisbees or beach balls)
  • Anything (including, but not limited to, flags, flyers, banners and clothing) that would facilitate ambush marketing or other commercial activity.
  • Drones, model aircraft, remotely operated camera equipment or other similar airborne devices
